The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra is one of the foremost orchestras in the world and their superb wind soloists are frequently lauded by critics and public alike. For orchestral wind players, the sense of chamber music is ever-present and this light-hearted programme of music from the 1920s (much of it written in Paris) reflects their joie de vivre and virtuosity in equal measure.
These players have performed together in various chamber music combinations for more than 20 years. In addition they are all respected and experienced teachers, holding positions at for example the Amsterdam Conservatoire, Robert Schumann - Hochschule in Düsseldorf and Netherlands Flute Academy. They enjoy working with students and are happy to combine a performance with educational work.
